Independence Pass - 2002
Independence Pass is a notorious pass on the way to Aspen. Sheer
drop-offs, spectacular scenery and an above-timberline overview
characterize this route. Not recommended for the faint-of-heart;
flat-landers (and even some Colorado natives) find it a little too
harrowing for their tastes. Drink lots of water at high altitudes to
help alleviate high-altitude sickness.
